Call for projects for the Transition Seeds 2025 conference cycle
The 2025 Transition Seeds conference cycle invites young graduates in architecture, urban planning and landscape, as well as young professionals, to present their diploma works or first works to the public. The work must be related to the ecological transition of the territories. Send your application before September 29, 2024.
Since 2021, the Braillard Architects Foundation has been offering a virtual space for public presentation to young graduates in architecture, urban planning and landscaping, to present their diploma work related to the ecological transition.
Themes
The work must be part of an ecological transition approach, focused on decarbonisation and/or strengthening the resilience of buildings, cities and regions. The topics covered so far have been:
- Sustainable Utopias –Emergencies –
- Designing the ecological transition through architectural, urban and landscape projects
- Project impulses: towards new ecological horizons.
Conditions
- The submitted work (a single project) can be individual or teamwork. If it is a diploma project, it must be accepted and definitively validated by the institution of affiliation. The work must contain mainly drawings, models and digital models, eventually texts and calculations. The scientific committee of the FBA's Eco-Century Project® culture and research program will select applications to develop the conference program for the 2025 season. The results will be communicated to the candidates by email in October 2025. The conferences will be organized online, in French and/or English, between January and May 2025. Each diploma or project presentation will be commented on by an expert in the corresponding field. A discussion with the public will complete the session.
Application content
- Administrative information (school/faculty, degree management, research laboratory if applicable), or proof of professional practice.
- Individual or team member resumes.
- The PDF of your presentation, consisting of text and images.
- A cover letter presenting the graduate(s) and the project, of no more than two pages.

Reward
As a reward, the winning teams will receive an access ticket to the Transition Workshop 2025, worth CHF 5,350.
